Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026
Daily Reno ("the app") is a private renovation project management tool. Access is restricted to a fixed allowlist of approved accounts; it is not a public service and is not offered for general sign-up. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and how it is stored.
Information we access
When you sign in with Google, the app requests these scopes:
- Basic profile (
openid, email, profile)—your name, email address, and profile picture, used to authenticate you and confirm your account is on the allowlist. Today, the app does not request Google Calendar, Drive, Gmail, or any other sensitive Google scopes. If we add features that require broader access—for example, calendar integration for scheduling—we will update this policy and prompt you to consent to the additional scopes before requesting them.
Information you provide
The app stores the renovation project data you and your collaborators enter, including:
- Project details—rooms, phases, budget line items, and project settings.
- Financial records—invoices, payments, transactions, credit applications, change orders, and expenses.
- Vendor and contact information you enter—names, contact methods, notes, and collaboration relationships.
- Selections and specifications—finish materials, product options, fields, and properties tied to rooms.
- Tasks, comments, activity history, and party aliases you configure for how names appear.
- Uploaded files—plans, receipts, product photos, walkthrough captures, and other attachments.
How we use it
Your data is used to provide the features of the app to you and the collaborators you share a project with. We do not currently sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for their own purposes, and the app currently shows no ads. If our practices change in the future, we will notify you and update this policy before doing so.
How we store it
- Authentication—user profile data returned by Google (name, email, image) and the session records that keep you signed in are stored in the app's database. Google access tokens are stored server-side and are not exposed to the browser.
- Project data—rooms, phases, budgets, invoices, payments, change orders, vendors, contacts, selections, tasks, comments, walkthroughs, and other content you enter are stored in the app's database (Neon Postgres).
- File attachments—plans, photos, receipts, and other files you upload are stored in Vercel Blob and served through signed URLs.
Service providers
The app currently runs on infrastructure operated by Google (authentication), Vercel (hosting and file storage), and Neon (database). These providers process data only as needed to operate the service on our behalf. If we add or change service providers, we will update this policy to reflect any material changes.
Google API Services User Data Policy
The app's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer or use Google user data for serving advertisements, and we do not allow humans to read this data unless we have your affirmative consent, it is necessary for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or the data is aggregated and anonymized.
Retention and revoking access
You can revoke the app's access to your Google account at any time from your Google account permissions page. To request deletion of the project content associated with your account, contact us using the details below.
